Spring Fling Dance
The SMM Knights of Columbus, KC Ladies Auxiliary and Alhambra are hosting
another event for God's Special People at St. Mary Magdalen.
We are encouraging any organization or person to give of yourself,
all we are asking is for your time and involvement for such a worthwhile cause.
Everyone who has participated in past events will give testimony
that we receive much more than we give.
The event will be a Spring Fling Dance with a D.J. and a professional entertainer.
It will be at SMM in the Cafeteria on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 6:00pm - 10:00pm.

Holly Doucet on “The Art of Forgiveness:Blooming in God's

Parish Life
Ministry is sponsoring a Seder Meal on
Saturday, March 27, at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. The
Seder or Passover Meal has evolved over the centuries by
the Jewish people to celebrate and give thanks to God for
the many blessings they have received. Since the roots of
our Catholic faith are in the Jewish religion, we too wish
to celebrate the Passover as Jesus did at the Last Supper.
The Seder Meal consists of the eating of traditional
Jewish foods, each symbolizing different stages of the
history of the Jewish faith, in ritual ceremony with
passages from the Bible and typical Jewish song. Since
the Seder Meal, which includes a full meal, will last about
2 hours, children under the age of 12 are not encouraged
to attend. Due to limited space, only 125 tickets will be
sold at $8.00 each. If you are interested in purchasing
tickets or would like more information, please call Susie
at the rectory, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 AM
and 2:45 PM. The deadline for purchasing tickets, while
they last, is Wed., March 24.

GOLDEN
WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
The Archdiocesan Golden Anniversary Celebration will
take place on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 3:00 PM at St.
Philip Neri Church, Metairie, for all couples married 50
years this year. This ceremony will be a Prayer Service,
not a Mass. To register, please call the rectory (733-0922
